My sister was a HUGE fan of Barney growing up. She would like nothing more from me than a Barney baby blanket for her baby which she is due with soon. I have searched several stores and their sites and found NO barney fabric…How can I make a barney blanket without using the fabric with Barney already on it?

Well, Barney is not too difficult to draw – or even trace from another source. Why not cut some Barney figures out and place them on a flannel blanket – or cotton or whatever…kinda like an applique…?

Buy a plain blanket and stitch Barney cut outs to it.
I think the method is called ‘applique’.
