My daughter is 1.5 yrs old and until now, we’ve been using a sleep sack as her blanket…is it safe at this age to use a baby blanket in her crib or do we still need to worry about suffocation hazards? Going to ask her doc at her 18 mo appt but just wondering if anyone knew about it?
i must be out of the times..my daughter is 13 and i always had a blanket on her from newborn to now..i never had any problems or even heard of a sleepsack..

A baby blanket I crocheted for my daughter’s friend.

I am making a baby blanket out of Lion Brand Baby Soft for my cousin’s unborn baby boy. I am using cream and I want to make a border around the piece in pistachio. I am a pretty basic crocheter and I would like to keep it simple anyway. All the patterns I find for edges are really girly and I was wondering if anyone had a more masculine edge that would work for a baby blanket.
I don’t recommend fringe on a baby blanket. It is too easy to come apart if baby happens to chew on it, and gets it stuck in their throat. I would suggest a simple single or double crochet edging instead.
***Update*** 4/7/10 I never ended up selling this, but I do keep it because it is so lovely, and maybe one day I’ll use it for my own or a friends baby
Okay you’ve seen it cameo in tons of my videos and it’s finally done! My baby blanket I made is finally finished.
Used 2 rows each color of double crochet, 1 row multicolor of popcorn stitch and repeat.
