i want to make my sister a baby blanket but we don’t know the sex of the baby, so i need two neutral colors that go well together. any suggestions? i know about yellow, so anything else?

I would do yellow & green kind of like the winnie
the pooh stuff they have out :)
but, you could also do a tan with
corduroy bears that would be cute & work
either way!

good luck!

Yellow and green are the classic choices, but red can go either way too. What is your sister’s favorite color? You could always make her something that SHE likes. I have a blue stroller and my favorite blanket is blue, because it’s mine and my husband’s favorite color…and we ended up having a baby girl. Or go for something that has lots of colors in it (our bedding set is pink, blue, yellow, green and white), so it could go for either.

    brown and cream ??

then you can make some kind of decoration that can be added on later … ie pink crocheted flowers if it’s a girl, to make it more gender specific :)

Animal themes are good too. A friend made me a GREAT blanket… it’s super thick – quilted kind of – it’s dark teal/turquiose on one side with a really bright bug print ( lime greens/reds/yellows/ pretty much every colour) on the other side. I used it all the time when my boys were little to put on the floor for their tummy time etc. or if we went to someone’s house they could lie on it – ya never know how clean other peoples floors are! Later, my boys loved to point to all the cartoon bugs on it … they thought it was great. Depending on the print this could be gender neutral too- lots of really bright colours!

good luck – what a nice sister you are :)

An aqua green and a light pastaly green….

I like brown and blue but to boyish and pink and orange to girly….

You can do anything with that minty green color but not the cutest…

Why don’t you go with something super stylish….like…black and white… or lightblue with electric blue looks good for boys and girls…light army green and a pastaly orange….or the same orange and a cream color…the color red is nice just a good shade of it with cream or white….

But my fav is def. black and white… I saw for a girl all black with a pink border… you can do something like that with a neutal color ….well it all depends on the mommy :)

Black and white? Apparently it stimulates their minds or something.
I saw a nice blanket in a shop that was white with black stars on it. I was gonna buy it when I was pregnant with my son before I knew the sex … but hadn’t taken any money out with me hah :(
Seena few other black and white ones since, they’ve all looked nice. But then again I’m not a fan of the mutal colours … I do the whole overly girly or really boyish theme aha :)
Wow I over answer sorry haha

I like brown and green…I have some brown and green for my daughter. Green and yellow works…green and white, yellow and white. Another cute idea is just you lots of soft baby colours like green, yellow, white, blue, and I would use purple instead of pink….no so girly if its a boy but it works because its got blue in it too so it just looks like a neutral baby blanket.

For the most part we all know that yellow and white are neutral baby colors. Another color that can be neutral is green.
I recently bought a gorgeous blanket from http://www.usbornencozykidz.com that was a Giraffe Print. This is a neutral option.
