For some time now, we have been writing about the fact that our eco-friendly photo albums are beautifully handmade items that come from the exotic island paradise of Bali, in Indonesia. Though this is all true, it’s not the complete story, as someone pointed out to us recently. These organic photo albums are also great for archival purposes.
Today, the tens of millions of baby boomers are reaching retirement age at an astounding rate, and there is a block of tens of millions. This generation once thought they would live forever, but now they are coming to the realization that that is not going to happen, and their thoughts are turning to ways of preserving what they have seen, felt, and in many other ways, experienced during their lives. This information, whether prose or photographs, in the minds of this block of people, is needing to be passed along to children, grandchildren and beyond. What better place to store it than in an album that, because of its beauty, begs to be opened again and again by these descendants?
It is rather obvious that the baby boomer generation, as well as the World War Generation, referred to demographers as the Silent Generation, have seen a lot of things happen in their lifetimes. I remember that my dad used to ride to school in a horse and buggy, or ski there in the winter. By the time he died, he had witnessed men on the moon. The baby boomers were born during the time of Happy Days and just before, and, whether involved or not, have witnessed Vietnam, the race riots, the hippy movement, the Cold War, Space Race, the fall of Communism, and who knows what else before their generation is gone. Both are very unique generations with much to be saved. Museums preserve culture, but archival photo albums preserve individuals. Don’t let your life go unrecorded. Get one or more of these very special photo albums, and get started today.

It is common to look for the simpler and less hectic hustle of the “good old days” that parents have heard about. Even in today’s society there is a segment of the population that does not have electricity in their homes. They still travel by horse drawn carriages, grow their own vegetables and fruits and sew all of their own clothing. Another fun decorating tip is to add a piece of actual family history to the nursery once you have all of the necessary items in place. An embroidered or handmade quilt can be hung on the wall.
Some could have been fortunate enough to have some of these vintage items, such as old-fashioned porcelain dolls or interesting toys, passed down to them. So, when the parents decide that they should have their own child, many alternatives are at their disposal but most preferred thing is wish for selecting and making a nursery which is cozy and homely and is decorated with beautiful vintage fire truck baby bedding.
This, of course, is just the beginning of the process of acquiring everything their new baby boy needs, because the number of designs in this category is very large. Plus the choice is especially big once you’re looking at the handsome designs available in boys crib bedding.
Images of old cars or planes as well as those of the old time farms and animals are just a few of the choices for vintage baby bedding shoppers. Flowers are always popular for the nursery and can be found in many different patterns on vintage baby bedding collections.
The feel of some fabrics can also stimulate nostalgia, particularly the texture of soft flannel or chenille blankets, which are very appropriate when the weather is cold. It is wonderful to decorate your nursery with vintage furniture, linens and the like, just be sure all of the items are safe. For example, it is very important to check the quality of the workmanship on the furniture as well as the type of paint or varnish that has been used.
Remember safety first. Be certain the mattress is the correct size for the crib. If crib bumpers are used, be certain to follow the specific guidelines regarding their use. Never use pillows in an infant’s crib. In fact they would like to buy a product which can offer peacefulness not only to their new born child but also to themselves as they are sure the their child is going to have safe sleep and safe wake up as they have carefully chosen his nursery bedding.

Some people find it corny, stuffing photo albums with baby’s picture, handprint or footprint, and stacking them almost as high as the ceiling. But when you become a mom or a dad, having a baby in the house changes all that. The word “corny” becomes non-existent, and the sentimental part of you appears.
A baby’s natural sweetness, delicateness and cuteness can make anyone go crazy over him. These are the reasons why you can’t stop taking pictures of him since day one. You want to preserve every bit of him, every movement like yawning, curling of the fingers and even crying.
After taking picture of the baby in every part of the house, parents go into the trouble of taking the baby some place where they can have his picture taken. He can be sat on the hood of the car, behind the wheel and biking at the park. There are times when parents become so desperate that they even perched the baby on a branch of a tree and snapped the camera all day long. It may sound funny to you, but the more unique the setting, the better.
Where are you supposed to put all those pictures taken 24/7? This is where baby photo albums and baby photo frames come in. But you just don’t stick the pictures inside the album. You have to sort them out first to avoid losing baby pictures stored in plastics, bags and boxes. After the effort you have done, don’t let it go to waste.
Arrange the pictures of course by date. Since women have sharper memories when it comes to date and places, then the wives can sort them all out.
After sorting, you can now have them placed in baby photo albums and scrapbook. You can have one of those personalize baby picture frames for a better effect.
There is no limit in accessorizing your photo albums. You can buy albums ranging from sizes 5″x5″ to 12″x12″. The bigger, the better, since it can accommodate more pictures. However, small-sized albums can be used if you want to separate pictures of every occasion or theme. Examples are first birthday, baptismal or funny pictures.
Comments written below each picture add to personalization. You can have it handwritten or printed if you have printer. It’s up to you if you want the comments glued or stapled. Or if you want, you can cut out the words from magazines. Wacky comments never fail to bring out smiles and laughs every time you open the album. You can add stickers to décor the pages, even to announce events. Dialog boxes stickers are available at the market and you can stick them on the pictures themselves. Write on it instead of writing comments below. Scrapbooking materials can bought in retail and variety in bookstores, like ribbons, buttons, flowers, etc. Stickers can be glossy or matte.
For more selections of designs, some purchase stationeries instead of stickers and scrapbooking material. Stationeries are cheaper than the assorted scrapbooking kits. Actually, these days, you can buy baby photo albums and personalized baby picture frames, so you can enjoy all of your child’s pictures taken from day 1 up to present.

Weren’t they just so cute?! A video I put together of the Gosselin six when they were babies/toddlers. I usually like to use original songs (like no one else had used the same song for their Gosselin video), and the first song hasn’t been used, but the second one has- it just fit so well! Credit to alexisbledelrox for a bunch of the pics.
