Cozy Baby Blanket

 Finding a unique baby gift can be a challenge at times. With the thousands of ideas such as toys, clothing items, knick knacks etc. that are available it can be difficult to find that one gift that will become a cherished heirloom. Baby blankets are just such a gift. A unique and special baby blanket can become an item the child will attached to and enjoy for many years. 

Our own children have a number of baby blankets from close relatives that remind them of the special relationships with an aunt or grandmother. They are always requesting their Aunt Sue blanket which their Aunt sue crocheted for them, or the very cozy fleece blankets made and given to them by their Aunt Theresa and the all time favorite from Nana a quilt which was made as a crib blanket and expanded as they reached the age where they moved into thier big girl beds.

 Another favorite is a baby blanket made from bandanas sewn together with a decorative fleece backing. This type of blanket is the impetus for this site was given to our second child by a dear friend and I started making these for friends and family when a new child arrived. These blankets have met with rave reviews from people who have recieved them and have become comforting
